FRANCE. Premium French winemaker Gérard Bertrand is to launch several new products at the TFWA Asia Pacific next week. The products, described as trendy, will be available for tasting during the Singapore show (Stand number: B10).
Muscato: Muscato, Gérard Bertrand’s latest innovation in its wine product range, is a low alcohol Muscat wine (10% proof). This premium wine has a unique and modern character and flavours, says the firm. It is a blend of Muscat d’Alexandrie and Muscat Petit Grain which come from a low yield vineyard which gives a higher quality and rare complexity. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif.
Naturalys organic wine range: A range of organic wines, in a contemporary, fresh and fruity style. Each wine embodies its origins in terms of varietals and terroir and they complement all fine meals. A high quality standard is guaranteed by careful winemaking in partnership with its growers.
Several varietals are available: Chardonnay, Grenache rosé, Merlot, Syrah, plus Languedoc terroir.
The packaging is designed to be respectful of the environment: natural cork, labels made from recycled paper and rough cardboard are used.
The target customer ranges from “˜green’ or environmentally-sensitive consumers, to customers looking for healthy and natural products, and all wine enthusiasts looking for new discoveries.
Gris Blanc: This crystalline wine is made from 100% Grenache gris. The nose and palate shows fruit character; it reveals freshness, highlighting the fruity flavours. In the mouth, the wine is tasty and acidulous on the finish.
The bottle has a trendy and modern look, available in a magnum size. There is strong POS marketing support with ice bags, according to Global Travel Retail Director Christophe Balaÿ.
