Images of the Day: Swinging into summer at Dublin Airport

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Duty Free Global from Ireland, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

IRELAND. Today’s choice of images comes from Dublin Airport – akin to a second home for The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt – as leading travel retailer ARI’s summer shopping campaign takes eye-catching shape.

The Dublin Airport Duty Free wines & spirits stores (T2 pictured) are front and centre with a mix of holiday-themed promotions, cocktail hour messaging, reinforcing of value (notably to UK-bound travellers who can avail of duty-free prices and generous allowances) and highlighting of travel-retail exclusives.

ARI seeks to tap into the holiday mood of many travellers with its promotional messaging, with value and duty-free allowance reminders to the fore

The unmissable permanent Drumshanbo Gunpowder installation in the T2 store

Gins are especially prominent in the promotional corners and through permanent fixtures for Irish power brands such as Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin.

Irish whiskies of course feature in expansive space at the start of the store as passengers come through, with premium backwall and gondola displays for Jameson, Bushmills, Midleton, Redbreast, Teeling, Tullamore Dew, Writers’ Tears and The Irishman, among many others.

The Irish Whiskey Collection in T2: An outstanding showcase for one of Ireland’s great exports

The message is clear: as a showcase for the best and widest ranges in Irish whiskey, Dublin Airport remains unmatched on the island.
