Capi unveils its new look at Oslo Gardermoen Airport |
NORWAY. Leading electronics travel retailer Capi has refurbished its 170sq m store in the International Terminal at Oslo Gardermoen Airport. It features the company’s new fascia – Capi The Travellers Electronics Company – launched last year.
Another shop, also in the new style, will open its doors in May in the Domestic Terminal at Oslo Airport.
Capi renewed its contract with Oslo Airport for when it won a tender in June 2011.
Under the new concept, the brand strategy is focused on A-list brands, niche brands and private label MiTone. Capi’s MiTone products are distributed exclusively to the travel retail and duty free industry.
Among the features of the new stores are sections such as “˜Special Offer’ including volume retailing and lowest price guarantees; “˜What’s New’ featuring the latest items and “˜Product of the Month’ where a brand is promoted based on awards or reviews. In addition, three products at an affordable price level are presented in the “˜Top Selection’ to simplify buying behaviour. There is also an Action Marketing Table for promotions by brand, theme and season. Finally an “˜It’s Exclusive’ range promotes high-quality, exclusive products.
Capi Manager for Norway Maaikel Reiber said: “I am proud of the fact that the international shop is the first new style Capi shop to be opened in Norway. We were honoured by the trust Oslo Airport placed in Capi by awarding us the tender and we are convinced this new style shop will be an asset to customers and airport alike.”
“We aim to offer our passengers an attractive and high-quality shopping experience and Capi does just that,” said Jon Finne, Senior Retail Developer at Oslo Airport. “Oslo Airport and Capi have a long and successful history together and we look forward to a continued collaboration.”
Capi Norway is the seventh shop to be presented in the new Capi style, following earlier openings in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Helsinki and Cape Town. Capi also aims to open a further new-look shop in Johannesburg before the summer.
