US. Travel restaurateur OTG Management has introduced Italian concept Volante to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP).
Menu highlights include homemade pasta (made on site), root vegetable minestrone, and a classic New York strip streak with asparagus and truffle & parmesan fries.
“With a menu inspired by local Chef Doug Flicker, the vibe at this Italian eatery will be known for the energy of its design and the elegant simplicity of its dishes,” said OTG CEO Rick Blatstein.

Volante joins the line-up of new OTG restaurants at the airport including Mimosa, MinniBar, and Shoyu, with more planned for the programme.
As with all innovative OTG dining programmes, Volante features the operator’s iPad technology, with a tablet stationed at each of the 91 seats. The custom software allows guests to order food from the iPad, browse the internet and play games.
As reported, OTG plans to deploy a total of 2500 iPads at MSP by the end of 2013.
