Beluga Vodka named official partner of Nobel Prize award ceremony

Beluga Noble Russian Vodka has been named the official spirit of the 2012 Nobel Prize award ceremony at the Stockholm City Hall on 10 December. It has also created several exclusive cocktail recipes (pictured below) specially for the event.

Beluga said its longstanding support for innovation comes from being born through “daring combination of centuries-old distillation methods, state-of-the-art technologies and the best ingredients”.

Following the official award ceremony and banquet, Laureates and guests are invited to the Student’s Nobel NightCup after-party. Since 1978, the Royal Institute of Technology has been hosting this final festivity, where Nobel Prize winners are honoured by state officials, key businessmen and researchers in an informal way.

This year’s Nobel Prize winners have been revealed and are awarded in six traditional areas: Physiology and Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Economic Sciences, and Peace.

Awarded since 1901, the Nobel Prize is said to be one of the oldest and most prestigious international awards for outstanding scientific research. It has been presented to 853 Laureates to date.
