Travel Retail Innovations will unveil a remote-controlled Griffin HELO TC Helicopter that can be operated with an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and even an Android smartphone or tablet at the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition this month (stand numner: K33).
In a departure from its usual business-like technological products, which comprise smartphones, cameras, chargers and technical accessories, the specialist distributor is showcasing a range of sophisticated toys.
Users can download an app into their smartphone device and connect the flight deck for the Griffin Helicopter into it. The helicopter can then be manoeuvred by “˜touch control’ using the virtual joystick on the multi-touch display.
The Griffin Helicopter can also be controlled by “˜tilt to steer’ – tilt the iPhone or Android device to move the chopper forward, backward and from side to side.
The helicopter can also launch tiny missiles and can repeat favourite routes using flight patterns saved on the device.
Travel Retail Innovations will exhibit the Griffin Helicopter alongside a wide selection of electronic and audio products, travel essentials and accessories at the Singapore show.
