Selwyn Grimsley leaves Tourvest Duty Free after differences over strategy

Selwyn Grimsley: A respected figure, keen to remain in the travel retail industry

SOUTH AFRICA. Tourvest Duty Free CEO Selwyn Grimsley has resigned.

In a note to business partners, Tourvest Travel Retail Division CEO Eric de Jager said: “Following disagreement on the future strategic direction of Tourvest Duty Free, it is with regret that I advise Selwyn Grimsley has elected to leave the business to pursue other interests.

“We thank him for his contribution as leader of TDF over the past six years and wish him every success in the future.”

Grimsley, a highly respected figure in the airline retail channel, drove Tourvest’s international expansion of recent years, including such notable gains as the British Airways account in the UK. He is known to be keen to remain involved in the travel retail channel.
