GREECE. Airport pre-booking specialist Chantry has brought together Athens International Airport and Aegean Airlines to offer an online parking booking service to passengers.
The airport initially introduced its booking system with Chauntry last year and has now teamed up with the airline to extend the service to its passengers.
Chauntry has provided a web service interface which allows Aegean Airlines to offer the service through its website. Interfacing in real-time with the Athens Airport website, it ensures the prices offered are the best available rates, said Chauntry.
Athens Airport Retail & Landside Services Manager Danae Voyatzi said: “Being able to offer parking to passengers at the same time as they book their flight is good for everyone. It is hugely convenient for the passenger, the airline is offering an improved service and the airport generates incremental revenues. The technology works really well and was simple for our airline partner to use.”
Chauntry CEO Theresa Hughes added: “Many airports are talking about integration with their airline partners but have not done so. We are delighted to have developed the technology that makes this aspiration a reality.”
