USA. LS travel retail North America has opened its first location at Denver International Airport, with local hot dog concept Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs.
Located in the Concourse B West Subcore, near Gate 22, the 1,390sq ft location opened this week as a partnership between LS travel retail and Doc 1 Solutions. Last year they won an RFP for a gourmet hot dog concept.
“Our vision 11 years ago was to bring world-class hot dogs to Colorado”, said Steve Ballas, Founder of Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs. “My wife Linda and I are thrilled by the impact that we have made in Denver, to travellers and residents alike. We are honoured to have been selected to represent Colorado for the first gourmet hot dog concept at DIA.”

LS travel retail North America brings a local favourite to Denver International |
“Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs is a well-known Denver brand that will offer an authentic taste of the city to over 50 million passengers each year who travel through Denver International Airport”, said Kim Day, Denver’s Manager of Aviation. “This is just one more component of the vibrant mix of local flavours and national brands we are bringing to the airport for our passengers to enjoy.”
With this new opening, LS travel retail North America, which already operates restaurants in Aspen and Vail Airports, is further increasing its footprint in Colorado, and in the food business.
“We are pleased to be opening our very first location in Denver International Airport”, said LS travel retail North America President & CEO Gerry Savaria. “DIA has been voted Best Airport in North America for seven years in a row by Business Traveler magazine, evidence of their team’s constant care for customer service and engagement with the local community. We are glad to have the opportunity to support DIA in both areas, with the help of our local partners, Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs and Doc 1 Solutions.”
Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs offer hot dogs as well as burgers, sides such as skin on French fries, Panko-breaded onion rings, sweet potato tots and deep-fried green beans.
Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs also features a large bar offering wine and beer, bottled and on tap. It has a partnership with the Colorado native Bull & Bush Pub and Brewery.
