The Tattered Cover opens third store at Denver International Airport

The Tattered Cover: Three of four stores are now open at Denver

USA. Colorado book store company The Tattered Cover has completed its post-security expansion at Denver International Airport with the opening of a new location in the C Concourse.

The 925sq ft location is the third of four Tattered Cover stores to open at the airport. The well known bookstore is part of an exclusive licensing agreement with existing airport bookseller, Hudson Booksellers, part of Hudson Group (Dufry). In addition to the construction of four Tattered Cover locations at the airport, the agreement also covers the construction of five Hudson News locations. Four of the Hudson locations are now open.

The final Tattered Cover and Hudson News stores will open inside the terminal later this year. Upon completion, the Tattered Cover and Hudson News stores will be located in all three concourses as well as the Jeppesen Terminal.

Denver’s concession programme consists of more than 170,000sq ft of retail space inside the airport covering more than 140 locations. In 2013, the concession programme generated about US$295 million in gross sales.
