Bacardi Global Travel Retail has teamed up with Nuance to celebrate the Australian debut of Bombay Amber, a super-premium extension of Bombay Sapphire, at Sydney Airport.
This is said to be the largest activation yet for the Bombay Sapphire family of gins in the Asia Pacific region, for both travel retail and domestic markets.
Taking place at the main Nuance Mega B departures store, the activation features a large-scale Bombay Amber branded visual, positioned right above the sampling bar and promotional space.
The design of the flagship activation echoes the lines of the arc-shaped Bombay Amber bottle, a theme which runs through the bar, gondolas, wall display units and the cantilevered main display screen, all finished in the brand’s distinctive amber colour.
At the centre of the activity is the Bombay Amber alloy metal bar, where brand advocates lead customers through tastings of the signature serve: a Bombay Amber and Tonic served with a twist of orange peel to accentuate the bitter orange zest botanical.
Bar staff bring added theatre to the activity, with the pour twisting its way down the specially-created Bombay Amber bar spoon, which is also available as a GWP. This simple process is said to enhance the release of botanical aromas from the liquid; complimentary recipe cards will help consumers to recreate the perfect serve.

Bombay Amber is a super premium 47%abv London Dry Gin, vapour infused with nutmeg, toasted black cardamom and balanced with bitter orange zest. This selection of botanicals is enhanced by resting the finished spirit in vintage French vermouth barrels.
