EDA has already developed and launched its first POS solution by engineering, manufacturing and delivering five prestige units for Perth International Airport’s Departure and Arrival Halls. Each of these units feature a range of new customer touch points such as digital screens, striking visuals and innovative lighting to enhance the shopping experience.
EDA Australasia Regional Business Development Manager Melissa Kay commented: “We have strong development plans with Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific over the next 12 months. Our team is delighted to be creating POS solutions across the region, including recently two prestige fragrance gondolas, Philosophy backwall and two OPI installations at Perth International Airport Departure and Arrival Halls.
“At EDA we have a proven track record and extensive experience creating solutions that are powerful, original; [delivering] on very functional needs to meet client expectations. We are thrilled to now extend our relationship to support Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific in this dynamic, specialised, and ever-changing sector of business,” she said.
At Perth International Airport EDA provided a full end-to-end solution from engineering and manufacturing right through to delivery and installation, which included developing highly creative POS units.
“These units have been specifically designed to take into consideration customer buying habits; using design elements such as customer touch points, striking visuals and innovative lighting, to effectively engage customers and increase sales and brand awareness,” Kay added.
“Our partners work with EDA because of our expertise in prestige POS and extensive domestic and travel retail market intelligence. EDA is recognised for creative design, high-quality manufacturing, cost control, quick turnaround and great client service. It’s a very exciting time ahead and we look forward to developing our partnership with Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific in line with our expansion plans for the Asia Pacific Region.”
Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager Pacific Tara Howell said: “EDA’s strength is definitely their professionalism, communication, quality of fixtures and importantly the follow-up support. In this industry a lot of contractors do not follow up after the fixtures are complete. EDA is brilliant in this area.”
Howell continued: “With travel retail, time is always a factor to complete the projects. So at times we have given EDA less than six weeks to complete six major installs, and they have always met the deadline. EDA have also had to adapt existing fixtures to spaces, and this sometimes is like a round peg in a square hole, and again EDA met all challenges with great customer service and professionalism. EDA has helped Coty to create an engaging shopping experience, where our brands are displayed in the best possible way to entice customers. We are delighted to be in a partnership with EDA and look forward to a busy bright and prosperous future.”
EDA Australasia and Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific have further projects planned including the forthcoming Brisbane International Airport project in September 2014 with JR Duty Free, and other large developments throughout Asia Pacific.
Following “a very successful” 2013, EDA has achieved significant growth, and in addition to its new arrangement with Coty Travel Retail Asia Pacific, is now expanding further into Asia and into new categories and brands.
