SINGAPORE. The Shilla Duty Free has commenced operations of the beauty concession at Singapore Changi Airport, taking over from long-time incumbent The Nuance Group (Singapore) today.

The new stores, branded Cosmetics & Perfumes, will showcase what Shilla described as the largest collection of brands among airport duty free shops in Asia. Some of the new brands being introduced at Changi Airport for the first time include Burberry Cosmetics, Cosme Decorte, Urban Decay, Vichy, and La Roche Posay. By end January, the Shilla Duty Free will add over 70 new brands to the existing collection to make a product line-up of about 190 brands, offering savings of up to 40% compared to downtown Singapore.

To accommodate the new brands, Shilla said it will gradually renovate the concession until the beginning of next year while operating existing stores. As reported, the concession includes 19 outlets covering about 5,500sq m from Terminals 1 to 3, and about 1,800sq m of space in the upcoming Terminal 4. A key highlight will be the world’s first duplex store for the beauty category.

To celebrate the opening of Cosmetics & Perfumes, The Shilla Duty Free has launched a series of special events and promotions. From 1 October, the travel retailer will give away Etude facial masks as GWPs, as well as free skincare product sample kits from Lancôme, Kiehl’s or Biotherm. Customers also can expect more gifts and benefits depending on amount of purchase. (For more information, visit sg.shilladutyfree.com)
