Travel Retail Distribution Group will showcase a range of luxury smartphone and tablet protective covers from mobile accessories brand Navjack at the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas next week (booth 1323).
Navjack Co Ltd was established in 1984 specialising in handheld device accessories, including mouse pads, portable speakers and protective covers for mobile phones and tablets. In 2013 the company launched a subsidiary brand – Navjack Aphrodite – targeted at the luxury market, made with gold plating, Swarovski crystals, as well as carbon or glass fibre.
“This luxury line of mobile device covers is the most premium product there is on the market today,” Travel Retail Distribution Group Executive Vice President Mario Lavadinho told The Moodie Report.
The brand’s main export markets are Europe, USA, Australia and the Middle East, and Travel Retail Distribution Group has been appointed its exclusive distributor globally for duty free and travel retail.
“It will soon be in several major department stores including Harrods in the UK and US, and is being sold in the domestic market in Dubai,” Lavadinho revealed.
Prices start from US$36.99 for the scratch-resistant Navjack Corium Series iPhone case made of aerospace-grade fiberglass, to US$3,500 for the Navjack Aphrodite Luxe Collection for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in 24k gold or 22k rose gold plating, with the Apple logo and sides of the case set in corundum and Swarovski zirconia.
Other luxury items include the stainless steel Croc Series Bracelet with Stand, featuring a crocodile pattern and aerospace-grade fiberglass inlay. This bracelet can be closed with a rounded snap clasp, and its curved design supports mobile devices to stand up vertically or horizontally. A Croc Series Folio Case with Stand is also available for iPad Air, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini.
