Belgian chocolatier Godiva will debut its new 2015 Christmas and 2016 Chinese New Year collections at next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore.
The Godiva Christmas Collection consists of four new products including a 20-piece gift box with two limited edition milk and dark chocolate pieces and a 12-piece truffle box, as well as an Advent calendar and a Christmas pouch filled with milk chocolate carrés for children. The design of the collection is said to be inspired by holiday ornaments and features symbols such as a Christmas tree and baubles.

Another focus for Godiva at the Singapore show will be its fine butter biscuits (Sablés), which feature recipes including spicy ginger from Asia, buttery pecans from Central America, dark chocolate from Africa and almond speculoos from Belgium – all dipped in Godiva milk chocolate.
They are available in an 18-piece assortment of Ultimate Chocolate, Macadamia Ginger and Almond Speculoos, a Quattro Pack exclusive to travel retail and three mono-packs with six sables inside.

Other new innovations to be shown at the event are the Mousse Meringue and Coeur Iconique Limited Edition.
The Mousse Meringue is a blush pink box available in two sizes (9 and 16 pieces) and is filled with a mini meringue covered in six flavours including chocolate, fraise, citron, café, praline piedmont and mandarine amande.
The Coeur Iconique Limited Edition is a one-time offer available in airports this summer. The coloured heart-shaped boxes contain six Godiva hearts in milk, dark and white chocolate.
The recent innovations follow a year of double-digit sales growth for Godiva in Asia Pacific. Head of Global Travel Retail Asia Pacific CS Lam said: “Godiva continues to perform well in Asia Pacific. We continue to innovate, not only on chocolate but also on self-treat ranges such as introducing soft serve (ice cream) in travel retail. We are also exploring new retail formats, such as testing pastries in the market.”
