Clogau celebrates China milestone with third boutique opening

CHINA. Welsh gold jewellery brand Clogau has opened its third stand-alone boutique in China. The 40sq m store opened on 30 April in Qingdao, described as a major seaside city in the eastern Shandong province.

The 40sq m Clogau boutique is located in the Qingdao Mix City (MixC) Mall

The new Clogau boutique is located on the second floor of the prestigious Qingdao Mix City or MixC Mall – the largest MixC in China.

The opening included a red-carpet event attended by Chinese celebrities and international VIPs. In addition, Clogau threw a Downton-Abbey themed party to celebrate the store inauguration, to dovetail with the company’s current Heritage campaign, which features Highclere Castle, where TV series Downton Abbey is filmed.

The Qingdao offer will feature Clogau’s 9ct gold, 18ct gold and sterling silver portfolio. The store will highlight the brand’s best-selling collections, with particular emphasis on items that celebrate its connection with the British royal family, whose wedding bands traditionally include Clogau Welsh gold.
