Chivas Regal Extra: Initial launch this month at Mumbai T2 |

Launch: Pernod Ricard India has launched Chivas Regal Extra – its first blended whisky introduction since 2007 – exclusively with Mumbai Duty Free (DFS/Flemingo) at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport T2. The new expression will be available at other airports and in domestic markets before the start of the festive season.
Details: Chivas Regal Extra is described as “a rich and discerning interpretation of the Chivas signature style”.
The Chivas Regal range includes five permanent expressions: Chivas 12, Chivas Regal Extra, Chivas 18, Chivas 25 and the global travel retail exclusive, Chivas Brothers Blend.
Featuring a special selection of whiskies matured in Oloroso sherry casks together with other rare Chivas malts, Chivas Regal Extra has a fruity, sweet nose with notes of ripe pears, creamy toffee and a hint of ginger. Flavours of melons, vanilla and caramel combine with spicy notes of cinnamon and hints of almonds to provide the finish.
Chivas Regal Global Brand Ambassador Max Warner has developed a series of “˜Fortified Classics’ cocktails using other fortified spirits including Lillet, Sherry and Port. Inspired by classic cocktails, such as the “˜Rob Roy’, the cocktails aim to complement the colour and character of Chivas Regal Extra.
