Shiseido will be introducing several new products from prestige beauty brand Clé de Peau Beauté at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore next month (booth: B20), including a reworked classic from the brand’s skincare range alongside a new foundation, eyeliner and lipstick.
Clé de Peau Beauté’s Le Sérum boasts a new formula containing Essential Prime Complex. Based on the brand’s Intuitive Skin Theory, it is claimed to awaken the skin from the base up by allowing cells to absorb only the ingredients they need. A soft, cushiony texture allows the product to absorb directly into the base of the skin.
Designed to be used as a first step in the skincare regime, Le Sérum is said to work best as one part of the ‘Radiance Trio’: Le Serum is used first, followed by La Crème and the Intensive Eye Contour Cream. The new formula Le Sérum will be available in travel retail Asia Pacific and the Americas in September.
The Foundation, described as a first for Clé de Peau Beauté, combines “cutting-edge”, skin-improving skincare with the latest in make-up. Rather than covering up imperfections, its hybrid formula is designed to make the most of natural skin. Containing less powder than conventional foundations, The Foundation has a skincare-like texture and contains oils which have a blurring effect on imperfections.
Chai hu extract, one of the key ingredients of Clé de Peau Beauté’s signature skincare product La Crème, has been added to the foundation to promote the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid.
The formulation also includes Illuminating Complex EX to moisturise and retexturise the skin and chestnut rose fruit extract which is said to provide anti-oxidant protection. Skin is also protected from UV rays, oxidation and dryness, according to the brand.

The skincare qualities of The Foundation aim to improve the appearance of skin over time by boosting smoothness and skin tone and reducing the severity of fine lines and wrinkles.
The aim is to give a vibrant, radiant glow for natural-looking skin without the powdery finish. The Foundation has a natural rose fragrance and is housed in a faceted glass jar, based on the La Crème dodecahedron design, complete with a spatula to apply it with.
The Foundation will be available in travel retail Asia Pacific and the Americas in August.

A new lipstick collection of 12 shades will replace Clé de Peau Beauté’s current Extra Rich Lipstick Line. Using Shiseido’s translucent pigments, the idea is that the colours are as true on the lips as they are in the packaging and compliment the wearer’s skin tone to make it appear more radiant.
These translucent pigments convert UV rays and blue light into intensely reflected light to create an illuminating effect. The collection uses red, magenta and yellow translucent pigments which combine into a broader range of shades.
The lipsticks are designed to hydrate and smooth lips with a formulation that contains skincare ingredients such as illuminating hydro-wrap complex and premium argan tree oil. Contouring powder and inner lighting powder are said to emphasise the lips and create the impression of a bright, clear look.
The lipstick is curved to allow for easy application while the packaging, in black and gold, has diamond-cut edges and a lacquered finish. The range will be available in travel retail Asia Pacific and the Americas in August.

Intensifying Liquid Eyeliner is a new innovation from Clé de Peau Beauté featuring twin applicators for two different effects. The Drawing Brush is a flexible, tapered brush that can be used to draw precise lines while the Marking Tip is designed to fill in any gaps between the lashes.
The Eyeliner contains moisturising ingredients including Illuminating Hydro-Wrap Complex and premium argan oil. Available in black and brown shades, it is smudge-proof, water-resistant and dries quickly after application to leave a deep colour and shine, said the brand.
