USA. Leading North American airport restaurateur Paradies Lagardère continues its mission to raise funds and awareness of the problem of childhood hunger with its ‘Dine Out for No Kid Hungry’ programme.
Throughout September, Paradies Lagardère venues and restaurants will donate US$0.25 for every cup of coffee sold. The company will also continue its year-round effort to support No Kid Hungry – a US charity which aims to ensure that all children in the USA have access to healthy food – by donating 25% of every kid’s meal sold and served in its restaurants.
Paradies Lagardère Senior Vice President Food and Beverage Bill Casey said: “One in five children struggles with hunger in our country. Paradies Lagardère continues to work to combat the troubling issue of childhood hunger through its steadfast commitment to No Kid Hungry.
“Over the last three years, we’ve raised more than US$80,000, successfully increasing the amount raised each year. We look forward to building on those efforts this year as well.”

Funds raised support No Kid Hungry’s work to connect vulnerable children to effective nutrition programmes. They also help create public-private partnerships that work together to identify and break down barriers to giving children access to meals. Another aim is to teach low-income families how to stretch their food budgets and cook healthy, affordable meals.
