Macadamia nut specialist Hawaiian Host has refreshed its premium chocolate boxes to launch the Mamoru Takitani Founder’s Collection, which pays tribute to the brand’s creator.

Mamoru Takitani Founder’s Collection: A tribute to the man behind the brand.

Founder’s Collection Milk Chocolate (8oz) and Dark Chocolate (7oz) gift boxes are available now in US and global travel retail. Honey Coated Milk Chocolate (7oz) and Matcha Chocolate (3.5oz) presentations will roll out before April.

The boxes feature new gold foil packaging which includes ingredient and product photography and a ‘nut metre’.

Hawaiian Host Vice President Marketing Helen Liew said: “At Hawaiian Host, we’re committed to celebrating our rich Hawaiian heritage with products and packaging that delight and inspire. The Founder’s Collection 8oz milk chocolate-covered macadamias are a staple of the Hawaiian Host brand; it’s everyone’s original favourite, now with a new look.”

The Founder’s Collection Dark Chocolate gift box is available now in US and global travel retail.

Liew said the brand was proud to spotlight its founder and his dream to create an original confectionery line. When his chocolates proved popular on his home island of Maui, Takitani purchased Ellen Dye Candies in Honolulu, a local manufacturer since 1927, and renamed the company Hawaiian Host.

The Founder’s Collection will be featured at the upcoming Summit of the Americas, in association with Otis McAllister (Booth 701).
