SPAIN. Lagardère Travel Retail has now opened all four restaurants at Malaga Airport Terminal 3 it was awarded in a contract in August last year.
Following the launch of Giraffe World, Costa Coffee and La Manon, Giraffe Stop has now opened. The 107sq m grab and go concept was specifically created for time-constrained environments.
Lagardère Travel Retail said Giraffe Stop offered a “cosy and lively” atmosphere that was similar to those developed at London Heathrow and Dubai airports, as well as King’s Cross station in London.
The concept offers the full Giraffe World Kitchen experience in terms of offer, service and design, the company said. Lagardère Travel Retail noted that Giraffe was a favourite among British travellers, who make up a majority of Malaga Airport’s international passengers.
“These openings in Malaga are a major step for the development of Foodservice in Spain,” said Lagardère Travel Retail EVP Foodservice Mélanie Guilldou.
“They also reinforce our presence at Malaga Airport, where we already operate Relay and Discover stores. These openings reconfirm our ability to the bring the best brands to all types of airports, from regional to large.”
