Shiseido Travel Retail unveils new summer fragrances from Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake and Narciso Rodriguez

The new fragrances from Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake and Narciso Rodriguez are now available in worldwide travel retail

Shiseido Travel Retail has unveiled new summer fragrances from Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake and Narciso Rodriguez.

According to the company, the new summer launches were designed “to build a deeper emotional connection with consumers”.

Shiseido Travel Retail Vice President of Marketing & Innovation Elisabeth Jouguelet commented: “Leveraging our consumer-centric strategy, the global release of these new expressions from our fragrance houses is set to drive further brand loyalty among travelling consumers by inspiring their emotions with rich stories of history and place.

With category-leading innovation, we are confident that they will serve as great travel additions for our beauty consumers.”

Memories of the Mediterranean: The Dolce & Gabbana fruit collection was inspired by the scents of Sicily

Dolce & Gabbana’s new Fruit Collection offers a trio of fragrances inspired by Sicily.

Each fragrance is centred around a singular fruit that evokes the scents of the Mediterranean. The collection is made up of the Lemon, Orange, and Pineapple scents.

The zesty Lemon fragrance was created in collaboration with perfumer Jérôme Épinette, who took inspiration from the markets of Palermo. It offers Sicilian lemon, bergamot oil accords and lemon tree petitgrain, with ginger essence top notes and Haitian vetiver as its base.

The floral Orange fragrance was inspired by Sicily’s famous citrus groves and was also created by Épinette. It offers Sicilian orange and Calabrian bergamot top notes, fresh basil and sweet orange blossom heart notes, and warm amber, sensual musk and powdery iris as its base.

The Pineapple fragrance was made in collaboration with perfumer Marie Salamagne. It features the company’s ‘smell the taste’ technology, which vividly translates living aromas into fragrances and captures the sweet tang of pineapples. The scent offers pure vanilla and spicy orchid pod top notes, Sicilian mandarin and jasminum sambac heart notes, and amber and moss base notes.

The three fragrances of the Dolce & Gabbana Fruit Collection come in streamlined flacons with fruit-shaped caps, inspired by Sicilian ceramics. They are now available in selected travel retail locations worldwide.

Issey Miyake

The new Issey Miyake IGO fragrance collection offers a contemporary take on the brand’s Eaux d’Issey range. It is available in the L’Eau d’Issey, L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme and L’Eau d’Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum scents.

L’Eau d’Issey (80ml) is a water-inspired scent that was created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier. It has been infused with a flurry of light floral scents including aquatic lotus, rose water, cyclamen, freesia, white lily and spicy carnation with peony as its heart.

The L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme (100ml) offers zesty top notes of yuzu, mandarin, verbena, coriander and sage, blue water lily heart, and woody base notes of sandalwood and vetiver.

The Issey Miyake IGO Collection features a dual-function ‘ISTAY’ and ‘IGO’ bottle design which allows customers to take a small 20ml mini-flacon of the fragrance on-the-go

The L’Eau d’Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum (80ml) was created by perfumers Dominique Ropion and Fanny Bal. It offers fruity pear top notes, honey-accented rose heart notes, and sea spray, sandalwood and ambergris accord and cashmeran base notes. It is now available in Asia Pacific and Americas travel retail.

The Issey Miyake IGO Collection comes in an innovative new two-in-one bottle design, which took four years to complete. It features the ‘ISTAY’ flacon, which may be left at home, and the portable ‘IGO’ mini-flacon, which is a 20ml spritz cap that allows customers to enjoy their fragrances on the go.

Narciso Rodriguez

The Narciso Rodriguez Ambrée Eau de Parfum was created in collaboration with perfumer Aurélien Guichard. It is a light floral fragrance that offers exotic tiaré flower and ylang-ylang top notes, vanilla-blended amber heart notes, and smooth cedar notes as its base.

The new scent comes in the brand’s signature glass cube bottle painted in a monochromatic amber hue. It is available in 50ml and 90ml formats and is now available in travel retail globally.

The unique 5-day ‘live’ event, followed by a 30-day showcase, begins on 12 October, just after the conclusion of the Chinese Golden Week holidays. It features a star-studded series of events across the five days, including a Symposium, category workshops and a new consumer research initiative.
