Nestlé spotlights travel retail portfolio at the Hainan Expo

NITR put the spotlight on its travel retail portfolio during the recent Hainan Expo, with a special focus on KitKat Senses and Nestlé Swiss

CHINA. Nestlé brought its travel retail portfolio to the fore at the China International Consumer Products Expo [Hainan Expo], which ran from 26-30 July.

Nestlé occupied a 125sq m space, which welcomed an estimated 4,000 visitors during the four-day event. KitKat and the travel retail-exclusive Nestlé Swiss were two of the core travel retail brands featured at the Expo.

Product highlights included the KitKat Senses range, the new 120g KitKat Tablets and the Nestlé Swiss 170g Indulgent Tablets.

The KitKat London Bus and Nestlé Swiss expressions were on full display at the Hainan Expo

In addition, the Nestlé pavilion featured a dedicated sustainability and regeneration area which educated visitors on the company’s wide-ranging projects to help protect, renew and restore the planet.

Nestlé International Travel Retail General Manager Stewart Dryburgh commented: “We were delighted with the interest in the International Travel Retail business section – a clear consequence of the Chinese Government’s dynamic duty-free policy in Hainan.

“Nestlé is fully committed to the Chinese duty free market and participating in this event is key in developing relationships both with our local partners and consumers. We have been delighted with the response to our stand and product offer. The particular interest in travel retail products was very pleasing and gave us a superb opportunity to raise awareness of our portfolio with the Chinese consumer.”
