UAE. Dubai Duty Free today revealed that sales in 2022 reached US$1.74 billion, representing a +78% leap on the COVID-hit previous year. With sales of US$310.6 million, perfumes remained the leading category by value, contributing 18% of the total. It was followed by liquor, gold, tobacco and electronics. Liquor sales reached US$279.8 million, or 16% of the total. Gold sales hit US$172.4 million (10% of total sales), cigarettes & tobacco sales were US$154 million (9%) and electronics posted US$137.59 million in sales (8%).
