Jeong Soon-Gyu takes over from Edward Im at Lotte Duty Free Singapore helm

Soon-Gyu (Jeff) Jeong (left) steps into the leadership role in Singapore replacing Im Hyung-il (Edward)

SOUTH KOREA/SINGAPORE. Lotte Duty Free has promoted Soon-Gyu (Jeff) Jeong to Managing Director of its key Singapore operation.

Jeong was formerly CFO. He replaces Im Hyung-il (Edward), who has returned to Seoul to hold a leadership role in Lotte Duty Free’s Beauty Merchandising Department. Im, who has been with Lotte Duty Free since 2001, had previously spent 14 years in the Merchandising Department.

Lotte Duty Free is the wines & spirits and tobacco products retailer at Singapore Changi Airport. It began a six-year concession on 9 June 2020, singularly unlucky timing as the first two years of its tenure were blighted by Singapore’s COVID-driven semi-closure.

Jeong takes charge of what was historically the world’s most highly acclaimed airports wines & spirits businesses. ✈
