London-based travel retail specialist Sustainaholics has extended its line-up with a new range of ‘No & Low’ alcohol drinks, with newcomers including UK brands Days, Pentire and Real.
Sustainaholics Founder David Mills pointed out that 55% of UK consumers are moderating their alcohol consumption, with the No & Low category “one of the fastest growing categories and profit generators in F&B today”.
“This growing demand is coming from not only the Gen Z and Millennial demographic that the industry needs to engage with more proactively but also from other demographic groups where moderation of alcohol consumption is a long-term behavioural change,” he said.
“There’s lots of work needed to meet this demand in the travel industry and to visibly promote an accessible and in-demand category,” Mills added.
Days is Certified B Corp, brewing 0.0% beers by combining locally sourced Scottish water and malt barley in an alcohol-free brewing process.
Pentire – also Certified B Corp – produces naturally distilled, plant-based alcohol-free botanical spirits in Cornwall while Buckinghamshire-based Real offers sparkling teas as an alcohol-free alternative to Champagne and sparkling wine.
“These brands, whose provenance deliver outstanding taste and quality, are available in lightweight cans for consumption on-board airlines and bottles and gift sets for travel retail. We look forward to helping make the availability of sustainable No & Low alcohol drinks far more widespread in the travel industry.”
As reported, Sustainaholics made its debut in travel retail with Tourvest Retail Services earlier this year. Its mission is to promote sustainability and ethical consumerism in the travel industry through a portfolio of independent sustainable brands.
