Jewellery and watches company Kurate International will reveal new self-select display units for its Belle & Beau jewellery and watch range at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore (Basement 2, E27).
Kurate will also highlight its Author recycled silver collection and additions to its Moon watch collection as it targets expansion in the region, with a focus on airport, downtown and cruise ship stores.

As reported earlier this month, Kurate appointed Sharon Edwards as International/Travel Retail Key Account Manager.
With over 28 years’ experience in the channel, Edwards joined Kurate from Time Products where, most recently, she was Senior International Key Account Manager. Her career also includes 16 years with The Nuance Group (Ocean Trading).

The Belle & Beau collection has been part of the Kurate line-up since 2015 and is described by the company as “perfect for travellers looking for on-trend designs at superb value”.
Kurate said the new self-select display units “will drive impulse sales in any travel retail environment”. Several models, including one which holds 750 pieces, are designed to meet varying footprint and stock fill requirements.
“With price points ranging from just £12 (US$15) to £39 (US$48), Belle & Beau presents an easy purchasing decision to travellers,” Edwards said.
The display units underline Kurate’s four-sided marketing strategy, with each side representing a different category: gift ideas, travel retail exclusives, best sellers and on-promotion. Units are already in place in several airports including London Stansted, London Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, and Shannon, and are also featured on DFDS Ferries.
“We see opportunities for the units in all travel markets, Asia included,” Edwards said. “Where they are already in place the sell-out has been well above our expectations. Consumers love the range and retailers love the incremental business.”
Kurate has expanded its product line-up to meet a wider price point spectrum. Its Author collection of recycled silver jewellery was showcased at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes last year. With prices ranging from £35 (US$44) to £125 (US$156), the brand has already secured a number of inflight listings and ARI is set to feature products at its Abu Dhabi International Airport stores later this year.
“In Singapore we are very keen to introduce Author to buyers,” Edwards added. “With consumers increasingly looking for products with a sustainable back-story, this collection of recycled sterling silver jewellery admirably fits the bill.
“The higher price points make it particularly suitable for airport and downtown shops along with ferries and cruise ships, markets that we are keen to develop in 2023 and beyond.”
