Luxury house Chanel has launched a limited-edition palette collection inspired by Byzantine art.
In UK travel retail, the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Byzance collection is exclusively available in Heathrow Airport with World Duty Free. It is also available with selected global travel retailers with limited distribution.
Chanel Les 4 Ombres Byzance takes inspiration from founder Gabrielle Chanel’s many trips to Venice over the years, which influenced her baroque haute couture and fine jewellery collections.
Created by the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio, the Byzantine-influenced palettes are inspired by the heritage jewellery pieces in the Chanel archive. All four expressions feature the shine of hammered gold and vibrant jewel tones.
The collection comprises the Parure Baroque, Parure Impériale, Parure Vénitienne and Parure Cristal colour colour ways.
Parure Baroque is a jewel-toned palette which features deep shades of ruby red, emerald green, antique gold and a pearl-white topcoat. Parure Impériale offers yellow sapphire, garnet, red quartz and rose gold hues.
Parure Vénitienne contrasts coral, beige gold and brown amber with a moonstone topcoat, while Parure Cristal combines soft opal and quartz hues with a pearlescent sky-blue topcoat. ✈
