Denver International Airport welcomes new Capital One lounge

Capital One Lounge opens at Denver International Airport

USA. Capital One Financial Corp has opened a new airport lounge at Denver International Airport.

The 10,800sq ft, Concourse A lounge is the third location for the Virginia-based banking company, which opened its first airport lounge at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in 2021. As reported, its  second lounge opened at Washington Dulles International Airport in September.

Another Capital One Lounge is set to open at Harry Reid International Airport, with others in the pipeline for LaGuardia and Reagan Washington National airports.

According to Capital One, the Denver lounge is the latest example of how the company is introducing amenities and offerings that “set a new standard for what defines a great airport lounge experience for a variety of traveller needs”.

The new Denver International lounge bar is the largest in the Capital One network

Every aspect of the lounge is “richly regional,” from locally sourced food and beverages and local art featured throughout the space, to the overall design inspired by Colorado’s landscape. Highlights include the largest bar of any Capital One Lounge as well as ‘relaxation rooms’ with ceilings that mimic the night sky.

The lounge’s menu offers customisable meals in a plated, small bite format, with choices including Colorado Ground Bison Sloppy Joe and desserts from Good Bread.

Featured drinks include artisanal sodas, flavoured waters, and drip coffee from Unravel Coffee Merchants. Craft cocktails, wines and beers include the Colorado Cool-Aid and Cerveceria Colorado’s Sky High P.A., on tap at the full service bar. Cocktails will be served in custom ceramic barware from Fenway Clayworks.

The use of local artworks and the availability of a relaxation room and (below) private workspaces are all part of the Capital One Lounge concept

The lounge also features more than 50 pieces of original artwork from local creatives, including Windy Chien’s reflection of the region’s mountainscape using ropework and an earth wall by Gary Gomez which incorporates natural materials like dirt and gravel.

Private workspaces (three rooms and two phone booths) are a Capital One Lounge first. Two fully stocked shower suites and a parents room are also available. ✈
