MACAU, CHINA. Beauty and fragrance house Guerlain, owned by LVMH, has expanded its Orchidée Impériale collection with three launches: Orchidée Impériale Black – The Treatment, The Essence-Lotion Concentrate and The Rich Cream.
The French maison unveiled a series of activations in partnership with DFS Group in Macau to showcase the new offerings.
Between 29 September and 30 October, travellers were invited to discover the full Orchidée Impériale collection through exclusive pop-ups at three locations in Macau: T Galleria by DFS, The Shoppes at Four Seasons, T Galleria Beauty by DFS, Galaxy Macau and T Galleria by DFS, City of Dreams.

Guerlain Regional Director Asia Pacific Emma Behaeghel said, “Guerlain is thrilled to collaborate with DFS in Macau to elevate premium skincare through a distinguished campaign featuring our Orchidée Impériale line.
“Macau has an exceptional clientele for premium and we are glad to come up with high end activations accompanying this launch. We strive to offer an unparalleled retail experience that exemplifies our dedication to luxury, innovation and exceptional skincare.”

DFS Group Senior Vice President, Global Merchandising – Beauty Amael Blain commented: “DFS is proud to collaborate with Guerlain on this exclusive launch to provide a highly luxurious and riveting experience for our customers, who can expect nothing but world-class service and retailtainment from us.”
The pinnacle of the campaign, the Orchidée Impériale Black pop-up, ran from 1 to 14 October in the Prestige Lounge at T Galleria by DFS, The Shoppes at Four Seasons. The showcase celebrated the DFS-exclusive prelaunch of the new Orchidée Impériale Black – The Treatment alongside the Orchidée Impériale Black Art Edition by Kevin Germanier 2023, an artistic expression comprising 15 pieces worldwide.

The Orchidée Impériale Black was crafted after 15 years of research by Orchidarium and Guerlain Research. The luxury skincare collection incorporates the black orchid (cultivated cycnoches cooperi), which is the heart of Guerlain’s BlackImmune technology. According to the Maison, BlackImmune technology can target 95% of the cells in the skin’s self-defence to preserve, regenerate and prolong youth.
From the 29 September to 30 October, visitors could exclusively discover the Orchidée Impériale Black – The Treatment at two select DFS locations.

The service was available at the facialist suites located in the Beauty Concierge section of T Galleria by DFS, The Shoppes at Four Seasons and T Galleria Beauty by DFS, Galaxy Macau.
Guerlain researchers developed two orchid extracts that are dedicated to the skin’s fundamental needs – hydration, nutrition, and regeneration: the orchid oleo-concentrate and orchid water. These are featured in The Rich Cream and The Essence-Lotion Concentrate.
At the pop-ups, Guerlain highlighted the science behind the orchids, ingredients in the collection, research done at the Orchidarium and the maison’s sustainability efforts towards orchid conservation and preservation. ✈
