Delta Air Lines opens ‘Window Seat Shop’ pop-up at New York JFK Airport

USA. Delta Air Lines has unveiled a pop-up store in New York John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 4 named the ‘The Window Seat Shop’ in partnership with full service creative agency Wieden+Kennedy New York.

Inside the store, which is open during November, shoppers can open replica airplane windows to uncover numerous gifts from around the world, each representing a destination Delta serves.

Items include hand-woven bags from Colombia, candleholders from Argentina, jewellery from Brazil, fleece jackets from South Korea and chocolate from France.

Purchases allow Delta Air Lines SkyMiles members to generate loyalty programme points.

In-store only, members can purchase SkyMiles Experiences including trips to Hawaii, Utah, Arizona and Massachusetts. Local New York experiences such as front row match tickets to watch the New York Knicks National Basketball Association team are also on sale.

Additionally, AMEX card members can partake in an exclusive customisable engraved bag tag experience.

Creative extensions of the store include Out of Home advertising elements placed throughout the terminal and in JFK’s Delta Sky Club (with the advertising campaign managed by Clean Channel Outdoor Airports Division), as well as social content generated by local and national travel and lifestyle influencers.
