IRELAND. Dublin Airport has partnered with intelligent vouchering platform iCoupon to introduce promotional vouchers aimed at driving footfall to airport stores and food & beverage venues.
It is the latest in a suite of services from iCoupon’s platform which are designed to foster connectivity and collaboration between airlines, retailers and the airport.
The vouchering system is being used to implement a series of promotional incentives for visitors to Dublin Airport.

The inaugural campaign in December offered a free coffee to customers to celebrate the holiday period. Travellers at the airport were sent a text message inviting them to share their details to receive a QR code, which could then be redeemed for a complimentary drink at participating airport retailers.
The campaign has been hailed a success, with 2,000 vouchers issued and 342 redeemed between 18 December and 4 January, a 17% redemption rate.
iCoupon CEO Richard Bye said: “Dublin Airport has been a valued partner of iCoupon for many years, and all F&B retailers operating at the airport are already a part of our network.
“Recent advances in our intelligent vouchering platform allow airports to really make use of the network, enabling them to create, distribute, validate and redeem vouchers for their passengers that can be specific to each individual airport store.
“This means that the retailers are also able to effectively manage the financial performance of individual stores, while also offering maximum flexibility to the airport and allowing it to offer promotions to every type of passenger.”
Dublin Airport Digital Marketing Manager Mairead McNally said: “I’m delighted to share in the success of our recent innovative campaign in collaboration with iCoupon. Introducing €5 vouchers to airport visitors for selected retailers marked the first campaign of its kind at Dublin Airport.
“The campaign has been a great success, and I must commend the iCoupon team for their responsiveness and assistance throughout the setup. This success fuels our enthusiasm to explore further similar ventures in the future.”
