Images of the Day: Heinemann Americas debuts on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Strange Nature Gin from New Zealand, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

AMERICAS. Our latest selection of images comes from Gebr. Heinemann, whose subsidiary Heinemann Americas has opened eight stores onboard Royal Caribbean International’s new Utopia of the Seas.

The ship debuted in Port Canaveral, Florida on 19 July and offers three-night weekend and four-night weekday getaways.

The Shop is a big retail highlight, with an extensive range of ship-branded merchandise

The second of two Royal Caribbean ships to launch this year with a Heinemann retail experience, the ship features a range of first-at-sea branded installations as well as the latest store design, said the retailer. A team of 32 retail staff offers guests service and expert advice.

Among the highlights is ’The Shop’, offering an exclusive selection of Royal Caribbean-branded merchandise, and ‘The Collection,’ showcasing fashion watches, sunglasses, jewellery and leathergoods.

The increased space for logo merchandise reflects the strong performance of previous collections, said Heinemann Americas. For younger vacationers, the ‘Kids Shop’ offers toys, candy and branded merchandise.

Port Merchant offers a wide range of spirits tailored for the Utopia guest

Utopia also features a dedicated shop for certified pre-owned luxury products, including handbags and watches from Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Chanel.

Additionally, guests can explore shops showcasing fine watches from brands such as Tag Heuer, Hublot and Breitling, as well as outlets for perfumes, cosmetics, liquor and tobacco.

The Collection houses a curated blend of fashion watches, sunglasses, jewellery and leathergoods. Below, the expansive pre-loved offer.

The retail offer complements the entertainment onboard, with two casinos and Royal Railway – Utopia Station, a first-of-its-kind immersive train car dining experience. The ship also houses the longest dry slide at sea, plus air, ice, water and stage shows.

Heinemann Americas Managing Director Nicolas Hoeborn said: “We are thrilled to once again open our stores on a Royal Caribbean vacation. This collaboration is another testament to the strength of our partnership and the positive reception of our joint offering by vacationers. Our goal is to make shopping an integral part of the experience, enhancing the journey even on short getaways.”

Heinemann Americas’ cruise portfolio also includes Royal Caribbean’s Icon, Wonder, Odyssey and Independence of the Seas. ✈
