Local flavour: OTG reveals diverse new restaurant line-up at New York LaGuardia Airport Terminal C

USA. North American airport hospitality player OTG Management has announced a new selection of restaurants inside New York LaGuardia Airport Terminal C.

In partnership with Delta Air Lines, which uses Terminal C exclusively for all its operations at LaGuardia, OTG’s new dining offers include modern Mediterranean to American traditional cuisine venues and a New York-inspired French brasserie.

Calista Taverna

Inspired by ancient Greek traditions, OTG said Calista Taverna embodies a modern Mediterranean style with open, natural designs using materials such as wood, stone and fibres that connect with nature.

The handcrafted elements are designed to create an atmosphere reminiscent of Greece, where sharing food and drink with family and friends is a way of life.

The menu includes Souvlaki, grape leaves and Baklava, prepared in an open kitchen with a custom-made wood-burning grill. The drinks offer features local wines and signature cocktails, including the Santorini Garden and Herculean Effort.

Prime

Driven by American tradition, Prime offers a vibrant atmosphere featuring a colour palette of red wines, midnight blues and soft pinks accented with brass.

On the menu are hearty breakfasts, lunches and dinners featuring grilled prime steak cuts from celebrated New York meat purveyor Pat LaFrieda including fillet, NY strip and ribeye. Prime also offers a selection of 34 wines available by the glass.

Soleil Brasserie

Inspired by France’s romanticism and light, casual dining venue Soleil Brasserie features an elegant design that evokes the charm of renowned French architecture.

The food menu includes fresh salads, truffle pasta and classic French steaks and bakery treats. Guests can also enjoy French-inspired cocktails such as the Chateau Fizz and Monet’s Garden.

The Grille

American cuisine venue The Grille is inspired by New York City’s green spaces, with the design intended to evoke the feeling of being in a flourishing outdoor garden.

OTG noted the seating is influenced by famed New York landmarks such as the Flat Iron and Public Library, surrounded by plants to transport guests from the airport to Central Park or a rooftop garden.

The food menu features the Western Blue Ring Burger, the Southern Belle Chicken Sandwich and the Garden Cobb Salad. The Grille highlights three local draft beers including the Kills Boro Killsner German Pilsner, which pays homage to the German immigrants who navigated the waterways around Staten Island.

Food Hall

The new openings are completed by the Food Hall, which features a curated selection of restaurants in partnership with local brands. They include Brooklyn’s King David Tacos, West Village’s Taïm, East Village’s Artichoke, Auntie Anne’s, Magnolia Bakery, Jamba, EggSactly, Trinity Burgers, Brooklyn’s Best Bagels and Kombu.

The raft of new openings follows the launch of OTG’s Sunday Supper, which brings American home cooking to LaGuardia Airport travellers, and Bubby’s, a New York City eatery known for its comfort food and homemade pies.

OTG noted it values partnerships with brands that resonate with the communities in which they operate.

At LaGuardia Airport, OTG said its partnerships with well-known local brands such as H&H Bagels and Birch Coffee located inside Rossi Pizzeria “exemplify its commitment to bringing authentic, high-quality offerings to travellers”.

Through these collaborations, combined with OTG’s proprietary concepts such as Flatiron Tavern, the travel restaurateur said it operates a diverse range of LaGuardia Airport dining options that celebrate and support their local communities.

OTG Management CEO Jeff Yablun commented: “I bet no-one would have imagined that LaGuardia Airport would become a hub of great food, creative cocktails and top-flight restaurants, but that is today’s reality.

“When you walk through this beautiful airport, the smells coming from the restaurants will stun you, and literally make you want to come to the airport early to grab a bite to eat.

“I want to thank our wonderful crew members who work day and night to make this experience so special for travellers.”

OTG now operates more than 350 F&B locations across 22 North America airport terminals. ‍
