Estonian distiller Liviko has expanded its premium spirits range with the launch of Caribba Reserva rum.
The latest expression features a carefully crafted blend of rums, aged up to eight years, from the Caribbean, most notably Trinidad and the Dominican Republic.
Liviko Export Director Jörgen Herman said: “Caribba Reserva is a premium addition to the Caribba family and a natural extension of our portfolio.
“We have observed a growing trend in the premium rum category, and the initial feedback has been encouraging. Our main export markets will be in Europe and Asia, where we see a strong demand for premium rums.”
Caribba Reserva is characterised by a refined aroma, with notes of caramel, honey and overripe tropical fruits, complemented by hints of dried citrus peel and candied spices for a crisp finish.
Its full-bodied flavour offers notes of walnuts and baked apples, finishing with a long, aftertaste of sweet bakery spices and dried orange peel.
Caribba Reserva is best enjoyed slightly chilled (13-15°C) as a digestif. ✈
