‘The Privileged Moment’ invites Hennessy’s VICs to immerse themselves in a sensorial tasting experience

Moët Hennessy Travel Retail has unveiled ‘The Privileged Moment’, an invitation-only consultation and tasting of the rare Cognac Hennessy Paradis, designed exclusively for Hennessy’s Very Important Clients (VICs) and the travel retail channel.

Following a successful debut at Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex’s House of Hennessy boutique in October 2024, The Privileged Moment is set to roll out globally across key luxury travel retail locations, including Sanya, Macau, Hong Kong, Paris and Dubai.

This bespoke offering marks a “significant milestone” for the Maison in its pursuit of “elevated, meaningful engagements with high-net-worth individuals and Cognac connoisseurs worldwide”, Moët Hennessy Travel Retail noted.

Tailored for affluent travellers seeking authenticity, craftsmanship and connection, the curated experience invites VICs to discover Hennessy Paradis in “a sensorial setting that blends discovery, ritual and emotion”.

The handcrafted oakwood ‘Cabinet of Curiosity’ trunk is the centrepiece of the curated experience

At the heart of the experience is a handcrafted oakwood ‘Cabinet of Curiosity’ trunk, which guests can unlock using a bespoke key engraved with Hennessy’s bras armé emblem, revealing Hennessy Paradis displayed in a glorifier.

For a select few, a hidden compartment within the trunk holds a surprise tasting of one of Hennessy’s most exclusive expressions.

The trunk interior features tactile artefacts – copper stills, grapevine illustrations, eaux-de-vie samples and barrel wood from Cognac – and an olfactory booklet highlighting Paradis’ signature exotic fruits and floral notes.

Guests are invited to discover Hennessy Paradis in the House of Hennessy boutique’s private VIC room

Tastings are performed with a fusil and fine glassware as part of an elevated service ritual, with curated pairings of Hennessy Paradis carefully prepared for VICs. The experience is amplified by storytelling elements, inspired by the Maison’s heritage since 1765.
