QATAR. The Trinity Forum has bolstered its conference programme with the addition of more industry leaders, ahead of the event on 5-6 February in Doha.
The latest confirmed speaker is iGA Istanbul Airport Head of Non-Aviation Commerce Halil İbrahim Anasoy, who will be joining the panel for ‘Winning Over Gen Z: Redefining Airport Retail for the Next-Generation Traveller – Part II’.

In his current role, Anasoy leads a team managing over €1 billion in annual revenue from retail, F&B, advertising and commercial real estate.
He brings more than 17 years of experience in commercial strategy and asset management, generating a +34% revenue increase in 2024 and managing key brand partnerships and over 1 million sq m of commercial development.
He also held senior advisory positions with JLL and DTZ.

Joining him on the panel is Travel Retail Superstars 2026 awardee Hani Ezra Hussin, Malaysia Airports Senior General Manager Commercial Services.
With over 25 years’ experience in retail, marketing and brand development, Hussin has played an important role in transforming Malaysia Airports into one of Asia’s key travel hubs.
Driving the commercial evolution of Malaysia’s 39 airports, she manages over 800 retail and F&B outlets, while elevating passenger experience and boosting commercial performance.

Avolta Chief Executive Officer, Southern Europe Isabel Zarza completes the panel, sharing her industry expertise.
Zarza currently oversees travel retail and F&B operations in Greece, Malta, Spain and Türkiye.
She served as COO for Central & Northern Europe, Russia and Africa, and as Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at World Duty Free Group until its acquisition by Dufry in 2015.
An active industry leader, Zarza also serves on multiple boards and industry associations, including Retail Lead for Airport Council International (ACI) World’s Airport Non-Aeronautical Revenues. She has previously been Vice-President of the Middle East & Africa Duty Free Association and a member of the World Economic Standing Committee of ACI.

The panel will be led by Vienna Airport Senior Vice President Center Management Philipp Ahrens.
He draws on 30 years’ expertise in airport operations and commercial strategy, having held senior positions at Munich Airport and ACI Europe with international experience across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The topic centres on how airports can adapt to Generation Z travellers, who prioritise experiences, social responsibility and authenticity over conventional shopping. The panel will explore ways to create personalised, immersive and digitally connected commercial environments.

In another engaging session, ‘A New Travel Retail Superforce Emerges’, Al Waha Duty Free COO Ian Foster will share insights from over 30 years of executive experience in global airport retail.
His career includes senior roles as VP of Travel Retail at Chalhoub Group, Chief Commercial Officer at Istanbul Airport Duty Free, and Global Head of Operations at Dufry.
Renowned for his transformational leadership, Foster has boosted the commercial success of airports such as Istanbul, King Abdulaziz International in Jeddah and King Khalid International in Riyadh, becoming a leading authority in multi-billion-dollar airport retail.

Also contributing to the discussion is Al Waha Travel Retail Chief Human Resources Officer Sara Trabulsi, whose over 20 years of leadership across retail, fashion and entertainment have centered on strategic people solutions.
She is notable for guiding large-scale organisational change, cultivating talent development and shaping high-performance people-centric cultures that drive sustainable business outcomes.

Adding perspective to the session ‘Brave New World: Travel Retail’s Future 2050’ is Kreol Group Executive Director Kreol Arakulath.
A second-generation entrepreneur, he has worked across the industry as a distributor, retailer, brand owner, logistics partner and investor.
Through Kreol Travel Retail, a joint venture with Avolta, he oversees global distribution and brand representation, focusing on channel-specific strategies.
