The Exclusive Collection is designed to appeal to “adorers of XO and collectors of objets d’art” |
FRANCE/ASIA PACIFIC. Hennessy has launched its first ever XO limited-edition Cognac, as part of the new Exclusive Collection series.
Hennessy XO Exclusive Collection is presented in a numbered decanter encrusted with golden crystals. A new “more masculine” embossed gift box – in the plum colour which has been used since 2006 – has a shiny appearance and the name Hennessy XO written in gold lettering on its top.
The limited edition was initially launched in Asia Pacific travel retail on 1 June, ahead of its release in the rest of the world, at the following selected outlets. Retail price is US$150 per 70cl bottle.
– DFS, Singapore Changi International Airport
– Sky Connection, Hong Kong International Airport
– Ever Rich and Tasa Meng, Taipei International Airport
The company said it plans to add to the Exclusive Collection in future years.
Hennessy XO is described as a masculine, full-bodied Cognac with strong aromas of oak, old leather and black pepper, balanced by more delicate touches of clove, cinnamon and vanilla.
The first Extra Old was created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870, while the carafe has kept its distinctive shape – an inverted bunch of grapes – since its creation in 1947.
