Swiss luxury skincare brand La Prairie has revealed the newest expression of its Skin Caviar Liquid Lift. The new serum features a potent combination of Caviar Premier and Caviar Absolute, two of La Prairie’s latest caviar science milestones.
Caviar Premier was developed as a mimetic fingerprint of natural caviar’s chemical composition. It was created using a special combination of caviar biomolecules and amino acid building blocks, infused with La Prairie’s biomimetic Caviar Peptide. Meanwhile, Caviar Absolute is a highly concentrated form of caviar, which is obtained using a complex extraction process that isolates caviar oils and proteins.
Both ingredients are combined to create an enhanced lifting and volumising effect on the skin, resulting in a powerful ‘gravity-defying’ serum.
The Skin Caviar Liquid Lift has also been enriched with La Prairie’s Exclusive Cellular Complex, which was inspired by Dr. Paul Niehan’s research on skin rejuvenation. The complex visibly lifts and reenergises the skin by targeting essential cells and skin components in order to create a rejuvenated appearance.
The new Skin Caviar Liquid Lift is packaged in an updated version of the brand’s signature cobalt blue dual-pump bottle. The bottle is accented with a sleek silver frame and houses the caviar in two separate chambers. It also features a chrome pump that distributes both caviar formulas evenly. Furthermore, the product now has a more visible, matte activation button, to ease the client experience.
To celebrate the launch, La Prairie commissioned French artist Cyril Lancelin to create a sculptural artwork that builds off the spherical silhouette of La Prairie’s caviar beads. The immersive installation features an array of metal gold spheres ‘defying gravity’ and appearing to emerge from the floor.
“The sphere evokes perfection and purity,” said Lancelin. “It is also of course, the form of the globe on which we live. This form transcribes for me a communion between nature and technology.”
The Skin Caviar Liquid Lift is complemented by the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion and Skin Caviar Absolute Filler, which completes the La Prairie Skin Caviar Ritual.
The Skin Caviar Liquid Lift was first launched in 2012. It merges La Prairie’s two most advanced and potent caviar ingredients, Caviar Premier and Caviar Absolute, in one product in order to address our Skin Caviar clients’ key concerns: sagging skin and loss of facial volume.
