US-based brand agency CITRA has revealed a Tactika facemask which aims to put an end to problems associated with fidgety mask straps, muffled speech and foggy lenses.
The integrated mask and sunglasses clip on and off magnetically and feature a new line of frames from Forceflex, a company known for its high quality outdoor and performance eyewear.
Tactika, with a “new product for the new normal” tagline, offers a variety of frames, clip-on shield, clip-on mask, washable filter and clip-on lenses in a range of colours and designs.
The system incorporates 14 magnets and features a fog barrier to channel air away from the lenses, adjustable frame arms and anti-scratch lens coating. Tactika Premium RX for men and women is also available.
Recommended retail prices range from US$60 to US$130.
CITRA CEO and Owner Bart Collins expects the product to roll out in global travel retail before the end of the year, with a focus on airport, railway stations and border stores. Cruise lines will also be targeted, along with ecommerce.
As reported, US-based CITRA teamed up with Blue (Blueprint Partnership) and Danish distributor BORN Nordic last year to offer brand partners access to more retail opportunities. CITRA Inc brands include Zippo, Clöudz travel accessories, BioMiracle and Kakao Legends chocolates while BORN Nordic specialises in electronics brands within mobile charging and smart home categories. |
Collins described Tactika as a “one-of-a-kind take on PPE”. “I believe Tactika lends itself well for travel retail,” he said. “Even without the protective qualities the eyewear for men and women offers great value. The option of clip-ons and a one-of-a-kind mask combine to make a unique accessory.
“For travel and travel retail, the clear visor allows for viewing full facial expressions without the need to compromise protection.”
