UK. Italian gourmet chocolatier and gelato specialist Venchi has made its UK airport debut at London Gatwick Airport North Terminal departure lounge.
Venchi opened its doors on 11 December to capture peak passenger traffic during the holiday travel period and offer travellers an ‘elevated taste of Italy before they fly’.
The Gatwick location offers a curated range of the brand’s artisanal offerings, spanning both confectionery and gelato.
Travellers can choose from more than 20 flavours of Italian gelato, prepared each day in an in-store gelato laboratory. The offer is complemented by hot chocolate, gelato-based shakes and a selection of gourmet coffee.
The boutique features Venchi’s signature chocolate bar wall, alongside displays of its Brutto & Buono artisanal slabs and seasonal gifting collections tailored to the festive period.

A My Venchi Mix station allows travellers to personalise their purchases by selecting from 40 different chocolate varieties, including flagship lines such as Chocoviar, Gianduiotto and Cremino.
London Gatwick Head of Retail Stephane Geffroy commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Venchi to our North Terminal – another first for UK airports following the opening of GAIL’s in the South Terminal earlier this year, and a testament to London Gatwick’s commitment to offering a unique experience before the flight.
“Whether passengers are picking up a last‑minute Christmas gift or treating themselves to Venchi’s iconic flavours, the new store enhances our retail and food and beverage offering, supporting our vision to be the airport for everyone, whatever their journey.”
Elevating the offer
Venchi’s arrival follows the recent launch of Discover London with Lagardère Travel Retail, a premium souvenir and gifting concept at Gatwick showcasing curated products inspired by the UK capital.
British bakery and coffee shop chain GAIL’s, which opened in October, is another local name to have joined the expanding commercial offer.
According to Gatwick Airport, the recent openings underline the airport’s continued focus on elevating its retail, F&B and experiential offer.
