AUSTRALIA. Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) Australia has brought a taste of Italy to Sydney Airport Terminal 1 with the latest opening for its Gusto concept.
Situated in the International Departures food precinct before security, the venue is a café featuring specialty coffee and fresh pasta, made on-site and cooked to order. Pizza by the slice, Mediterranean-inspired panini and Italian pastries are also available.

Gusto serves Italian classics including Bolognese, Carbonara, Pesto, Al Funghi and Napoletana.
A note from ELR on LinkedIn said: “Grazie mille to Sydney Airport for supporting us in our vision to fill a gap in the casual dining space and allow us to expand our offering to Sydney travellers and staff.
“We must also thank ‘the village’ – all of our supporters, designers, project team and internal crew for putting together a great concept, delivered on time and completely bellissimo.”
ELR’s Australia division currently operates more than 30 venues in the country’s airport market, including Heineken House, AFL Kitchen & Bar and multiple Hudsons Coffee venues.
