UAE. Abu Dhabi Duty Free, managed by DFS Group, has today launched its new buy now-collect later shopping service, called “Fly Lighter”.
DFS now offers shoppers a convenient alternative to taking purchases onboard, with the option to collect goods on their return through the airport. Passengers taking advantage of the simple Fly Lighter service need only to specify their preferred collection details at the time of purchase, and their shopping will be ready for pick-up at the designated collection point, on the date specified by the customer.
Available to both departing and transit passengers in Terminals 1 and 3, Fly Lighter aims to literally take the weight out of duty free shopping, providing a collection point for passengers to pick up their shopping as they make their way through the airport on their return journey.
Dan Cappell, Senior Vice President Commercial of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), explained: “Busy travellers often wish to take advantage of the great offers in duty free but additional bags can add to the hassle of a journey, particularly if travelling with a family or carry-on luggage.
