Winner of the ‘Triple Your Chances’ deal Radek Rericha collects his prizes with his wife and two-year-old daughter Annie |
UAE. Abu Dhabi Duty Free’s new ‘Triple Your Chances’ promotion has seen some amazing results this month, with one lucky entrant taking home two Big Ticket prizes – AED70,000 in cash and a Mercedes C200K.
Winner of the AED1 million first prize Parappoothara Remani took advantage of the new ‘buy two get one free’ concept. Her husband Thomas bought the ticket for her while she was visiting from India this month. He bought another for himself to get the free ticket. The couple, who have three children, will be investing the money in a family business.
The second prize, a Mercedes C200K, went to Czech national Radek Rericha, whose second ticket won him the fourth prize of AED70,000 as well. Rericha, Finance Manager at DHL in Dubai, will be spoiling his wife and two-year-old daughter with his winnings.
The third prize was won by Berhane Haile Woldu from Eritrea. He bought two tickets and walked away with AED100,000. Woldu, who has a business in Sharjah and is married with three children, says he will use the win wisely.
Milton John Therattil, from India, picked up the fifth prize of AED60,000. He purchased his two tickets online after reading about the special raffle offer in the newspaper. He will be sharing his winnings with friends.
Rodrigues Santosh Jeffery received a wedding gift on his return to Abu Dhabi from India after tying the knot recently. He picked up AED50,000 for his ticket, which he bought in duty free on arrival.
Seventh prize of AED40,000 went to Iftikar Uddin, who is an Al Ghazal taxi driver from Pakistan. Eighth prize of AED30,000 went to Kurshid Alam, a power plant supervisor from Pakistan; ninth prize of AED25,000 was picked up by Pottekkat Velayudan Jayarajan from India; and the tenth prize of AED20,000 was won by Amer Esmail Kadoora, who bought his ticket during a cigarette break at the Al Ain Airshow.
“They say smoking is bad for you, but not this time as it led me to the ADDF raffle stand at the show where I bought the ticket which brought me AED20,000 – that’s not bad!” he laughed.
