Accolade Wines to present product innovations and A-list collaboration at TFWA World Exhibition

The Dolly Wines range, in collaboration with American country singer-songwriter Dolly Parton, is soon to hit the Cannes spotlight

Accolade Wines is set to showcase its latest travel retail offer at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Yellow Village, D26).

The latest additions to its travel retail portfolio include the Remastered series, a new Sauvignon Blanc from Wise Wolf and a wine range in collaboration with country-music legend Dolly Parton.

The Dolly Wines collection, to be launched in the UK this month, includes the Dolly Prosecco, described as a fresh and zingy sparkling wine. The flavour profile features stone-fruit aromas such as peach and apricot, with flavours of apple and pears.

A “delicate and romantic” French rosé, the Dolly Rosé offers a soft and round taste with notes of strawberry, citrus and a hint of dried sage, complemented by a light saline touch and finishing with soft acidity and lingering white strawberry flavours.

Seeking to disrupt the old world wine category, Accolade Wines will also highlight the Remastered series at the Cannes show, including a range recently introduced to the channel.

The first expressions in the series come from Italy – Sangiovese 75cl (Romagna DOC) and Fiano 75cl (IGP Siciliane), both priced at an RRP of £10 (US$14).

Featuring colourful and modern branding, the Remastered packaging is designed to transform the way young people experience classic wines.

The wines are packaged in bottles with eye-catching labels that highlight their Italian heritage, ensuring maximum visibility.

The Sangiovese wine is characterised by its rich aromas of morello cherry and damson, with undertones of winter spice, and is medium-bodied with delicate tannins.

The Sicilian Fiano is full-bodied, with fresh acidity and tropical fruit notes, complete with gentle hints of lemon and cedar for a long, crisp, citrus finish.

The Remastered series has recently been shortlisted as a finalist in the Frontier ‘Star Wine of the Year’ award.

Accolade Wines plans to expand the Remastered range with new expressions showcasing popular European varietals and regions.

The Minibox joins the Accolade Wines portfolio, offering 1.5 litres of wine from popular brands in a boxed format. These include Jam Shed Shiraz + Malbec, Mud House Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand and Sauvignon Blanc Chile, and Hardys Cabernet-Shiraz-Merlot, with more in the pipeline.

This boxed-wine experience promotes a more sustainable approach to wine consumption, eliminating the need for bottles. Accolade Wines expects this offer to resonate with environmentally conscious consumers.

A new Sauvignon Blanc varietal, Wise Wolf Sauvignon Blanc is the latest addition to the Wise Wolf by Banrock Station lineup, with its release scheduled for October.

The brand has become well-known in the category for its innovative approach, using bottles crafted from 91% recycled glass.

The Accolade Wines stand will feature a sustainably focused design by doplr, a specialist Bluedog Group agency. The stand, created to minimise carbon footprint, incorporates a reusable aluminium frame from beMatrix and timber, adapting the look from last year.

A key feature of the stand will be a bar, with themed tasting events scheduled throughout the Cannes week.

All TFWA delegates are welcome to visit and try out the wines, with the bar open Monday-Thursday between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

Key travel retail personnel from the Accolade Wines team will be available to discuss products on the stand throughout the week. These include Channel Sales Director EMEA Jeff Bond; International Sales Manager – Distributors & GTR Alexandra Wilding; International Key Account Manager GTR & Distributors Paul Campbell; and General Manager/Sales Director Martin Mackinnon.

Jeff Bond said: “We have much to share with travel retail buyers at our stand this year both in terms of product innovations, new SKUs and tastings. A big focus for us is disrupting the old world wine category with innovative wines that break tradition.

“As ever, we encourage buyers and the travel retail community to visit the stand, try out the wines and talk to us about how we can use our innovations to make wine stand out with accessible price points in airport, cruise and ferry retail.” ✈
