The Australian Dried Fruit Company (TADFC) has partnered with Heinemann to release travel retail-exclusive packs of dried tropical fruits at Sydney Airport.
Two packs, Dried Mango and Dried Pineapple, are featured as the brand looks to expand in travel retail, with listings at other airports in the pipeline.
The packs contain no additives, no added sugar and no preservatives.

The Australian Dried Fruit Company Director Neil Johnson said: “It is just tropical fruit, dried to a chewy consistency. Because the product is packed in a premium quality foil pouch there is no need for refrigeration, yet it still has a long shelf life.”
Other tropical fruits, including banana and a mixed selection, are being tested and will follow soon.

“TADFC products are clearly aligned with the qualities and values that are unmistakeably viewed as Australian by travellers,” Johnson said.
He underlined the importance of “looking the part” in travel retail. “Merchandising is a key element in driving sales. Packaging is designed to have immediate visual impact and reflect the premium quality of the product. The distinctive look and feel of the pack and the TADFC branding leave the customer in no doubt that it is a high-quality, exclusive Australian product.”
Johnson is a Brisbane-based travel retail consultant. He worked with the Nuance Group for 24 years and, more recently, with The Lakes Distillery as Director of Travel Retail.
