SPAIN. Airports group Aena served 384.8 million passengers in 2025, +4.2% more than a year earlier and an all-time record. The company manages 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London Luton Airport in the UK and 17 airports in Brazil.
The Aena network in Spain, its biggest market, served 321.6 million passengers, +3.9% more than in 2024. Half of its airports posted record annual highs in the year.

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport posted a +3% rise year-on-year to 68.2 million, followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport at 57.5 million, up by +4.4%.
Palma de Mallorca Airport served 33.8 million passengers (+1.5%), Málaga-Costa del Sol 26.8 million (+7.4%); Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández 19.9 million (+8.5%); Gran Canaria 15.8 million (+4%); Tenerife Sur 13.9 million (+1.7%) and Valencia 11.8 million (+9.6%).
Looking ahead, Aena said in a statement that it is “in the final stages of defining the investment plans required by Spain’s airports over the coming years”, amid rising traffic levels. It noted that “infrastructure must adapt to available capacity and accommodate ambitious expansion and modernisation projects”.
The 17 airports managed by Aena Brasil served 45.7 million passengers in 2025, a rise of +5.3% year-on-year. London Luton Airport traffic climbed by +4.9% to just over 17.5 million. ✈
