FRANCE. Aeroboutique Inflight Retail (AIR), French operator Aelia’s inflight retail subsidiary, is poised to launch a new duty free programme onboard Moroccan carrier Atlas Blue.
The duty-free programme will be operated by Aeroboutique Sales Group, a joint venture between AIR and Jean-Marcel Rouff.
Crew training on the use of the new POS and Quick Sales Techniques took place earlier in May/June. The new range, due to be implemented on 1 July, will focus on fragrances and cosmetics, tobacco and holidays accessories.
Atlas Blue is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Kingdom’s flagship Royal Air Maroc (RAM).
It offers scheduled services between the increasingly popular Moroccan cities of Marrakech and Agadir and various European countries. In the first phase, this offer will include the French, Italian, Belgian, Dutch, German and British markets.
Atlas Blue will seek to broaden this scope in the coming five years to include other European countries. The airline plans to transport in excess of one million passengers in the coming 12 months, mainly foreign tourists as well as Moroccan expatriate nationals and local residents.
