Air China launches new international flights – 06/03/06

CHINA. Air China, the Chinese flag carrier, is to start new international flights from Beijing to Delhi, Mumbai, Dubai and Berlin, according to a report in Jinghua Times.

Air China will fly a Boeing 767 four times a week from Beijing to Delhi, including flights from Beijing to Mumbai then Dubai. The flight from Beijing to Berlin will be seven times a week using an Airbus A330.

In addition, Air China has launched a direct service from Beijing to Karachi, Pakistan. Air China currently operates international flights to North America and Europe from Chengdu and Beijing.

*In separate Asian airline news, Vietnam Airlines is increasing its flights to Germany, according to the Thai News Service. It is operating one additional flight per week from Ho Chi Minh City to Frankfurt from 21 June, to meet the increasing demand of passengers. Vietnam Airlines has conducted flights on the direct Ho Chi Minh City-Frankfurt air route for one year.
