FRANCE. The Airline Retail Conference (ARC) & Expo 2013 will take place in Paris from 2-4 July, the organisers Ink Publishing have announced. The event will be held at the Espace Grande Arche. It was previously held in London.
A record 531 delegates attended ARC in July 2012, and the organisers said they are planning to increase the size for the 2013 event, with over 700 delegates expected. In addition, the exhibition will be expanded with up to 100 companies already looking to take stands.
“After six successful years in London we have decided to move ARC to Paris,” said ARC Event Director Alex Vail. “ARC is now one of the most established events in the travel retail calendar, while Paris is arguably the most important city in our industry. Many delegates and sponsors have told us they will support the move, so we are very excited as we take this next step.”
The Airline Retail Conference will not only cover inflight retail, the organisers noted, but also food & beverage, passenger loyalty and other ancillary revenue streams.
Vail continued: “We have been delighted by the support and goodwill the rest of the travel retail industry has shown us, as we continue to focus on helping airlines grow the vital inflight channel. We introduce airlines to new ideas, suppliers and technology with noticeable effects. It is a thrilling time for this growing industry.”
